Rabbitoh’s v Eels – What Everyone Is Over Looking, Make Sure You Read!

Rabbitoh's v Eels

Friday Night Football is almost here and it’s turning out to be a cracking game. The Rabbitoh’s are almost full strength with George Burgess back from suspension. With Thomas, George and Sam Burgess all in the team it really becomes a huge forward pack. Angus Crichton – Rabbitohs second rower, is one of the best in the NRL right now with a stunning 46 tackles, 6 tackle breaks and 150m last game against the Storm. He’s gone BEAST MODE!

The Eels will be missing Michael Jennings who’s out injured and there’s also concerns Nathan Brown misses the game after coming off early last week due to a rib injury. Will Brown play? It’s hard to tell, if you’ve had a rib injury it’s painful for WEEKS. It literally sucks the life out of you and the only way to fully heal a rib injury is to do literally nothing. Wether they play him with needles purchased from Gallen or wether the injury was just minor is yet to be seen.

Another talking point is Corey Norman who’s still out and their chief play maker. They’ve got new team member Mitchell Moses (read this article on him Mitchell Moses – The Worst Half In The NRL Backed By Stats) and he’s yet to fully gel with the team. If you read that article you know non-toxic whipped cream is more dangerous. It leaves Gutherson to really be the man to break the game open with Bevan French and the Semi Trailer. It’s of note that Semi Radradra is having his worst season ever and will be leaving the NRL at the end of the year.

Both teams have lost 2 of their last 3 games, but what’s important is how they played their last game. Both teams lost but one definetely played better than the other. The Storm beat the Rabbitohs last week but the Rabbitohs played well and it was a close game – the score being 14-6. The Eels lost to the Raiders in a fairly close game as well, what’s interesting is that the Raiders had lost their last 3 games before beating the Eels which included getting beaten by the Knights! The Eels getting beaten by the Raiders last game was an embarassment in itself.

The Rabbitohs going toe-to-toe with arguably one of the best teams in the NRL is what’s really worth of note.

Since Cody Walker has moved back to fullback and John Sutton has moved to the halves it’s made a real difference. Walker is a natural ball runner and is absolutely electric whenever he has the ball. He’s the type of player that’s dangerous and unpredictable, when ever he has the ball in hand anything can happen, truly an exciting player. He will be a key player to watch in this game along side Angus Crichton who everyone is over looking.

With a full strength team and playing well against the Storm last week it’s hard to picture the Eels getting the win against South Sydney.
