FanDuel has established itself as one of the top MI online sportsbooks and MI online casinos. Now, the popular gaming site is adding live dealers to its casino offerings.
On Tuesday, FanDuel announced its live casino games officially launched in Michigan after approval from the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) on July 22. FanDuel’s casino offers live dealer blackjack, roulette and baccarat.
The live casino games are powered by Evolution, which also supplies live dealer content for BetMGM Casino MI and BetRivers Casino.
Live dealer content became available to Michigan players following the MGCB’s authorization. The MGCB approved Evolution to livestream from a Southfield studio with real-time casino table games with live dealers. The games were first eligible to be offered through licensed operators and platform providers starting at 10 a.m. on July 22.
"Players can use a mobile device or computer to play typical land-based casino games like blackjack, baccarat and roulette with a real-time, live dealer," said Henry Williams, MGCB executive director. "Cameras capture the dealer and the play, and the providers' apps or websites share it live with remote players."
In addition to blackjack, roulette and baccarat, the MGCB said, “in the future, more games may be added.”
Other Platforms To Add Live Dealer Games
Other platform providers are expected to announce their live casino games, including DraftKings Casino MI, Golden Nugget Online Casino MI, Barstool, the Stars Group MI, TwinSpires Casino MI, William Hill and Wynn.
“This is another major landmark in Evolution’s U.S. growth,” Jeff Millar, Commercial Director North America at Evolution, said in a media release. “We are fully committed to the new Michigan market – we launched games from our NetEnt brand with all operators in Michigan at the market opening in January, and we have now become the first provider to launch a live casino in Michigan.
“Our new Michigan studio is one of the biggest and best equipped in the U.S. iGaming market, with room to expand in line with our licensees’ needs. Operators have been greatly impressed with what’s on offer, so much so that we also have several requests to launch dedicated, exclusively branded tables for a number of them, scheduled for later this year.”

FanDuel is one of the market leaders on both the internet sports betting and online casino sides. Each month since online gaming went live in Michigan on Jan. 22, FanDuel Sportsbook MI has recorded the highest sports betting handle of any operator. Total, FanDuel has taken in $449.7 million in sports bets through June.
On the casino side, FanDuel has consistently ranked second or third each month in revenue, with both FanDuel and DraftKings trailing BetMGM Casino. FanDuel has recorded $89 million in total gross receipts since online casinos debuted in Michigan.
