Add AGS to the latest list of suppliers who have been granted a provisional license by the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB).
AGS announced it was awarded a provisional iGaming supplier license, allowing the company to offer its game content for Michigan’s licensed online casino operators when iGaming is approved and launched by the MGCB.

“We are excited about being awarded our provisional iGaming license in Michigan and look forward to helping the state launch its new iGaming program,” Matt Rebeck, AGS executive vice president, said Wednesday in a news release. “We are confident that Michigan is going to be a strong market for us, with three commercial casinos that cater to a repeat player base, and player familiarity with AGS games due to the popularity and longevity of our land-based games in the Michigan market."
When Michigan officially launches online casino gaming and mobile sports betting, AGS will offer its land-based game content to approved and licensed online casino operators throughout the state, thanks to its remote gaming server. AGS’ gaming library includes titles such as Capital Gains, Fu Nan Fu Nu, Golden Wins, Jade Wins, Longhorn Jackpots and Rakin’ Bacon.
AGS’ game content is available to players across the world, including Europe and Latin America. And in the U.S., it is live in New Jersey and Pennsylvania with Michigan set to be its next market. The company also partners with online operators and features AGS gaming content from third-party suppliers through its AxSys Games Marketplace.

On its website, AGS states its gaming roots originated in the Class II Native American gaming market but has since grown to become one of the more all-inclusive commercial gaming suppliers in the world.
AGS’ products include Class II and Class III slots, a table games portfolio, social casino solutions for players and operators and says it has best-in-class service while offering value proposition for its casino partners.
Michigan launch still slated for early 2024
The licensing and approval process for operators and platform providers such as AGS is the next phase before online casino gaming and mobile sports betting can officially launch in Michigan.
Platform providers are currently in the process of completing additional regulatory requirements, including independent testing of the platforms and games, and the MGCB’s approval of each provider's internal controls to keep gaming integrity intact.
The MGCB’s website still lists the state’s online launch for early 2024, which would align with the recent projection of four to six weeks from just over a week ago.
