Watch the Quarterbacks
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow completed 26 of 38 passes for 281 yards with two TDs and two interceptions in the Packers loss and had to be taken to the hospital after the game to be evaluated for a possible throat contusion. He is expected to play Sunday.
Lions quarterback Jared Goff completed 21 of 35 passes for 203 yards with no TDs and one INT last Sunday. You know he is just craving to get back on the field again to erase that zero TD performance from last week. Running back D’Andre Swift totaled 104 yards of offense with a TD last week.
The Bengals have won the last six meetings against the Lions, including 26-17 in their last game on Dec. 24, 2017.
Who Will Win?
Prediction: If you can believe it, this could be one of the best games of the day.
The Bengals have proven they can win on the road with that 24-10 triumph over the Steelers on Sept. 26, and would like to redeem themselves from that Packers’ loss last week.
Four of their five games have been decided by three points.
The Lions have been banging on the door for their first win of the season, and the team has been playing hard for first-year head coach Dan Campbell.
Detroit is at home, and I think have had it. Goff will throw for a couple of TDs, Swift will have two TDs and total over 100 yards again and wouldn’t it be apropos for the Lions to win their first game on a field goal. I think they do. Lions 27, Bengals 24.
