September was a record month for Michigan online sports betting.
The total handle for September was $386.8 million, topping the previous combined record in March of $383.7 million. Online handle for September was $354.3 million, second to the March record of $359.5 million.
Mobile was 91.6% of the state's total sports betting market in September.
During September, 14 operators were authorized for online gaming and sports betting, according to the state.
Partnered with Bay Mills Indian Community, DraftKings Michigan topped $100 million in handle ($106.9 million). DraftKings, along with FanDuel Michigan ($82.1 million) and BetMGM Michigan ($81.9 million), accounted for more than $270 million of the online sports betting handle in September.

Here are three takeaways from the September gaming report from the Michigan Gaming Control Board:
Soaring September
The online sports betting handle of $354.3 million was an 84.2% increase over August’s $192.3 million. The combined total of $386.8 million in September was an 85.4% increase over the $208.6 million wagered in August.
Retail sports betting handle in Michigan was $32.528 million in September, up 99.8% compared to the $16.28 million from the previous month.
Detroit Lions betting and Michigan NFL betting began on Sept. 9. NCAA Division I football also had a full month of games in September and it helps that the Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans remained undefeated for September (so far, both still are).
The numbers posted in September bodes will for the rest of the year as the NBA and NHL will be starting soon.
iGaming Sets Record
Michigan online casinos had a record $102.4 million in gross receipts in September, a 5.3% increase over the previous record $97.2 million set in August, according to the report from the Michigan Gaming Control Board. It's the first time the state has topped $100 million in iGaming revenue.
Sports Betting Revenue, Taxes Lacking
Internet gaming taxes paid to the state was $18.9 million. Online sports betting taxes came to $426,873. Taxes from sports betting were down 21%.
But revenue from online sports betting was down 62.2% in September. August revenue was $9.2 million, while September, despite record-setting handle, had just $3.48 million in adjusted gross revenue.
