Michigan bettors are now able to wager on the Academy Awards.
The Michigan Gaming Control Board has added the Academy Awards, making Michigan the third state where players can wager on the winner, joining Indiana and New Jersey as the others. The Oscars are set to take place on April 25.
Both DraftKings and PointsBet currently have Academy Awards odds listed on their websites.
Michigan went live with its mobile sports betting and online casino platforms on Jan. 22. This will be the first Academy Awards residents within the state will be able to bet on.

Oscar Favorites
DraftKings has Nomadland as a clear favorite to win Best Picture at -670, while the next closest films are The Trial of the Chicago 7 (+650), Minari (+1400) and Promising Young Woman (+1400).
Chloe Zhao (Nomadland) is the clear frontrunner for Best Director at -2500. Chadwick Boseman is another big favorite for Best Actor at -2500 for Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
Best Actress is a bit more competitive with Carey Mulligan of Promising Young Woman the favorite at +125, followed by Viola Davis in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (+180) and Frances McDormand in Nomadland (+350).
