The Michigan Gaming Control Board on Monday gave approval for the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians and associated platform provider Pala Interactive to launch online gaming and sports betting under the Four Winds Casinos brand.

The platform launches at noon on Monday in Michigan, according to the MGCB.

“We welcome the addition of Four Winds Casinos and Pala Interactive to Michigan’s growing online gaming and sports wagering market,” Richard S. Kalm, MGCB executive director, said in a news release Monday. “Their participation will generate revenue to support education, economic development and the Pokagon Band’s tribal community.”

The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians operates three casinos under the Four Winds brand in Dowagiac, Hartford and New Buffalo in southwestern Michigan.

According to the MGCB, Four Winds will be the 11th operator to provide online casino gaming and sports betting in Michigan. The 12th operator, Lac Vieux Desert Tribe, and its provider, PointsBet, can only offer online sports betting, the MGCB said.

The Michigan online gaming and sports betting market launched on Jan. 22 with 10 operators, although Barstool didn’t launch online casino until Jan. 29. Total handle and revenue figures from January are expected to be announced by the MGCB this week.

Here are the operators in Michigan offering online gaming and sports betting, according to the MGCB:

  • DraftKings (Bay Mills Indian Community)
  • FanDuel (MotorCity Casino)
  • BetMGM (MGM Grand Detroit)
  • WynnBET (Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians)
  • Barstool Sportsbook (Greektown Casino)
  • William Hill (Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians)
  • Golden Nugget (Keweenaw Bay Indian Community)
  • TwinSpires (Hannahville Indian Community)
