The Old Brass Spittoon is on the line Saturday as Michigan State (6-0, 3-0 Big Ten) visits Indiana (2-3, 0-2) with kickoff set for noon ET (FS1).
The No. 9 Spartans are favored on the road in Michigan online sports betting. MSU is currently a 3.5-point favorite (PlayUp) and a 4.5-point favorite (BetMGM, Caesars, DraftKings Michigan) and is a -180 moneyline favorite (DraftKings) and a crisp -190 favorite (BetMGM, Caesars, PlayUp).
Indiana is a home underdog at +155 (BetMGM Michigan, DraftKings, PlayUp) and +160 (Caesars Michigan). Over/under total points on all four mobile sportsbooks range from 48-48.5 for Michigan online gambling.
State rival and the also undefeated Michigan Wolverines have a bye this weekend.
Undefeated Spartans
The Spartans continued their impressive ways last Saturday by upending Rutgers on the road, 31-13, marking the first time they have opened 6-0 since winning the Big Ten Championship and advancing to the College Football Playoff in 2015.
Wake Forest transfer and Michigan State junior running back Kenneth Walker III leads the nation in rushing with 913 yards, averaging 152.2 per game. He has 10 total TDs, including nine on the ground.
Redshirt junior wide receiver Jalen Nailor tied a school record with three TD receptions on five catches for 221 yards (the fourth highest receiving total in school history) in the Rutgers win.
Hoosiers Struggle vs. Top 10 Teams
The Hoosiers are coming off a much-needed bye week. They have lost to three Top 10 teams in Iowa, Cincinnati and Penn State, while winning against Idaho and Western Kentucky.
Indiana redshirt junior quarterback Michael Penix Jr. has completed 87-of-162 passes for 939 yards with four TDs and seven interceptions.
This will be the 68th meeting between the two schools, with the Spartans leading the all-time series, 48-17-2, including an impressive 22-10-1 road record at Indiana. Last year, Indiana shutout Michigan State on the road, 24-0.
Who Will Win?
Prediction: Penix beat the Spartans on the road last year in shutout fashion, so he knows how to win against these guys.
However, Penix is a different player, and Michigan State is a different team than last year. Michigan State rolls on to its seventh straight win. Michigan State 37, Indiana 17.
