With Michigan online sportsbook apps already humming, PointsBet is adding to the action. The operator announced Thursday that it is bringing live dealer games to its iGaming platform in the state.

This marks the second state in which PointsBet has introduced its live casino offerings. A similar announcement for New Jersey was made in July.

In addition to the United States, PointsBet has operations in Ireland, Canada and Australia, where it is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.

Through its partnership with Evolution, PointsBet customers now can play in live dealer games, including several iterations of blackjack, roulette and baccarat. Users can get access to the games anywhere in the state.

Evolution provides a live dealer experience, with streams originating from broadcast studios located within state jurisdictions. Professional dealers are streamed live right to player mobile devices in real-time.

“Online casino products have seen a rapid growth in the U.S. and the team at PointsBet is responsive to our users and eager to bring our customers the experience and games they are looking for,” Aaron O’Sullivan, Pointsbet’s vice president of online casino revenue, said in a news release. “We are helping our users Live Your Bet Life™ with the feel of an authentic casino delivered on a user-friendly and approachable platform.”

A Busy Year Ahead

The year 2022 is shaping up as a big one for the growth of PointsBet.

In addition to Michigan, PointsBet currently operates in West Virginia, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and New Jersey. It was recently awarded a sports betting supplier license in Virginia and anticipates approval to operate in Maryland and New York.

Earlier this week, PointsBet made news of interest to Michigan, home to two universities in the Big Ten Conference.
