PokerStars players in Michigan this month will get the chance to take part in the Michigan Classic online poker event.

The event, sure to be popular with Michigan gamblers, is part of a three-state series, including Pennsyl-MANIA and the New Jersey Classic.

Like the other two, the Michigan Classic has a $300 buy-in and begins Oct. 24. The Michigan event offers a guaranteed $250,000 prize pool. The guarantee in Pennsylvania is $350,000, while it’s $100,000 in New Jersey.

Satellite tournaments from just $15 began Tuesday and players can win their way to the events through $3 Spin & Go’s; by depositing $30 to win entry to a depositor freeroll on Oct. 24, with $15,000 in seats up for grabs; and through a $300 deposit match offer also awarding tickets (Oct. 12-13 in Michigan and New Jersey, and Oct. 12-19 in Pennsylvania).

The Michigan Classic, along with Pennsyl-MANIA and the New Jersey Classic, follows the PokerStars Championship of Online Poker in those three states, where a combined $5.27 million was awarded to players.

The Michigan Championship of Online Poker (MICOOP) from PokerStars started Sept. 10 and ran through Sept. 27. It had a guaranteed prize pool of $1.5 million prize pool over at least 65 events for Michigan gamblers.

PokerStars Has Been Busy

Other PokerStars events included the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker that began Aug. 22 and ran through Sept. 15. It featured a $100 million guarantee, the largest ever in the series. PokerStars also held a big Summer Stacks event In Michigan that began June 12 and ran until June 28.

Michigan law permits interstate poker. It was signed into law by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in January.
