A new fall Michigan online poker series is about to begin.
PokerStars announced Wednesday the new poker series will take place in Michigan, along with New Jersey and Pennsylvania, starting on Nov. 20.
The Michigan gambling event will be called Fall Fest 50/50, while in New Jersey and Pennsylvania is will simply be Fall Fest. The event runs from Nov. 20-29.
The prize pool in Michigan is $500,000 out of a total of nearly $2 million in guaranteed prize pools. Pennsylvania will have $1 million in prizes available while New Jersey will have $400,000.
For players in Michigan, PokerStars is running its first 50/50 tourney in the U.S. and is offering 50 events each with $50 buy-ins. The Main Event in Michigan takes place on Nov. 28 and has a guaranteed prize pool of $50,000. The $200 buy-in Main Event in Pennsylvania on Nov. 28 features a $150,000 guarantee.
How to Get Involved
Players in Michigan can get involved in a variety of ways including:
- Depositor freerolls: There are 50 seats worth a total of $2,500 awarded in Michigan. To get involved, players in Michigan must deposit $50 or more with code “FALL21.” It’s open from Nov. 10 to Nov. 28.
- Second chance freerolls: Should players be knocked out of a Fall Fest tournament without making the money, they can enter a second chance freeroll, where $1,000 worth of Fall Fest tickets will be available. The event will host a second chance freeroll every day from Nov. 21-28 in Michigan.
- Satellites: Players in Michigan can qualify for the series through $5 satellites.
Other PokerStars Events
During October, PokerStars held the Michigan Classic online poker event. The event was part of a three-state series that included Pennsyl-MANIA and the New Jersey Classic.
In addition to poker, PokerStars online casino is available in Michigan. Michigan law permits interstate poker. In addition to Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, online poker is legal in Delaware, Nevada and West Virginia.
